There is a phrase in Sanskrit as “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” which means the world (Vasudha = Earth) is one family (Kutumbam = Family).
This is a very powerful phrase. It reminds us that we are all part of one family. We all are dependent on one another and we cannot prosper by supressing others in the family. It will eventually get back to us. It is strongly associated with the concept of Karma. It is a simple concept of what you sow so you reap but when looked at holistically, it affects every element of this planet. It is a never ending cycle and the only way to achieve a better Karma which will eventually bring prosperity is through harmony. Love, appreciation and a lot less of ego will help us all in the long run. Isn’t it what the nature teaches us too?
