The infinite loop of joy and sorrow

When you are joyous, look deep into your heart and you shall find it is only that which has given you sorrow that is giving you joy. When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.
Khalil Gibran

Bidding adieu to 2018 and starting 2019 with these timeless words by Khalil Gibran. We are all stuck in an infinite loop of joys and sorrows and the only thing that can relieve us from this constant juggle is some perspective. Easier said than done though, eh? 🙂

May this new year be like a soft gentle wave on a warm breezy morning that holds the power to heal even the most bruised souls.

Wish you all a blessed, peaceful and joyous new year!

    1. Thank you so much for your kind words, Manja! The year is progressing slowly and uneventfully but I can’t complain. It is much better than the last year. I guess that is also something to be grateful about. And yes, feel free to reblog ❤
